Proofing

As a designer, I make all reasonable efforts to proof my work, especially on the cover and marketing materials.  However, proofreading is not my professional focus, I will not be held liable for proofing errors once my work has been approved for printing.

It is the responsibility of the client to make sure all documents submitted to me for layout and design are ready to prepare for print.  Making manuscript changes at the layout stage is strongly discouraged.  It adds time and extra cost to your design charges.  I highly recommend that, unless you are very proficient at proofing yourself, that you hire the services of a professional proofer.  Even when an author is good at proofreading other's work, it often does not follow that they will be good at catching their own proofing errors.  Professional proofers are well worth their fees.  I have several I work with and can highly recommend.  Email me for qualified referrals.
